Abacus

Around late 3000 B.C. (dating back to the Phoenician era) the Abacus was created by the ancient Chinese. This device impacted tech by forming the basis for calculators and computers (one of the earliest calculators).
This device was the predecessor to the modern calculator and computers. The main function of the Abacus tool was to be used for calculating numbers and doing arithmetics. This allowed for Merchants, traders, and clerks to use them today. As an example, the Abacus is a counting frame primarily used in parts of Asia for arithmetic processes.
